I’m just going to say it, the glace in France was my favourite. Controversial, I know. We found this small natural glace spot just around the corner from where we were staying in Nice, and it quickly became a daily ritual. As someone who usually can’t have ice cream, I could happily have multiple a day without a second thought. Every time we went, we passed the same wall and it always stopped me in my tracks. Yellow triangle tiles mixed with chocolate brown and creamy white squares, bold and unexpected, yet somehow working perfectly together. I remember thinking, who came up with this? What makes someone brave enough to design like that? It was one of those small, everyday moments that felt quietly inspiring.
